Campaigning
Street Children ZambiaAll Star Kids current campaign is set up to support the 75,000 street children of Zambia.
In Zambia, 47% of the population under 18; life expectancy at birth is 37 years; estimated 75,000 street children in 1996; HIV prevalence rate of 20% for adults between the ages of 15 and 49; estimated number of orphans between 600,000 and 1.2 million. Street children are very mobile between cities.
We would like to urge the government to do more to support these children and provide real solutions for these children.
We are aiming for 75,000 people to join this group - each one to represent one of the 75,000 Zambian street children (source Street children consortium 1996).
This is a satelitte map of Lusaka the Capital City of Zambia, many children head to Lusaka.
